Four priceless silver Dutch coins from a ship that foundered off the West Australian coast in 1629 have resurfaced in Queensland.

The coins are from the wreck of the Batavia, which in 1628 set off for its maiden journey from Amsterdam to the capital of the Dutch East Indies, Batavia – near present-day Jakarta.
